When you or the customer adds a subscription license, you are billed for that 6 month period in the month the license was added. So if your price from Phonism is $1.00 per month, you will be billed for $6.00 one time. During the 30 day window you have access to all the features of Phonism for each device, including applying templates, button management, etc..
