Phonism offers a set of dynamic reports dependent on hierarchy levels. To see more detailed dashboards and data, navigate lower in that branch of the hierarchy.

OVERVIEW DASHBOARD

The Overview tab is the default screen you’re routed to when you log in, and is where you can find the following widgets and information.

Note: What you see depends on what level you’re viewing and navigating from.

Devices by Service Provider / Enterprise / Domain / Tenant

Depending on what level you’re viewing/navigating from, the first table shows you the number of devices configured either by Service Provider, Enterprise, Domain, or Tenant. Adding phones to any customer account is automatically seen in this chart. Click the chart to see it full screen.

Monitored Devices

Shows the number of registered/unregistered VoIP accounts that Phonism is monitoring. Currently only supported by Poly. Hover over each area of the chart to see the number of registered and unregistered devices.

No Check-in Within 24 Hours

This widget shows the devices in your account that have not been provisioned/checked-in within the time period selected (24 hours, 3 days, or 7 days). Use this widget to monitor the health of your device network. If your network is healthy, and working as intended, you should see a "0" in the widget.

This widget is associated with reporting. When you click the number on the widget, you are routed to the detailed report.

Tips

  • • If you are seeing that devices have not checked in within the last 24 hours, use the drop-down filter to select "3 Days" and then "7 Days" to determine when the issue started.

  • • Whether you're making small updates to a few devices, upgrading the firmware across an entire tenant or updating VoIP Credentials for a location, make sure you check this widget first, to confirm that the devices are syncing properly.

Devices Pending Updates

In addition to the widget found on the Overview page, there is an associated report that lists all the devices that are included in the counter. From the list, you can easily select the MAC of any device to navigate to that device's edit page. Or, you can select the tenant to navigate to the phones page for that tenant. You can also view when the device was last modified ("Edit Date"), last provisioned, and how long it's been since the change was made ("Age").

This widget is associated with reporting. When you click the number on the widget, you are routed to the detailed report.

Tips:

  • • Whether you're making small updates to a few devices, upgrading the firmware across an entire tenant or updating VoIP Credentials for a location, make sure you check this widget first to confirm that the devices are all up-to-date.

  • • Use this widget in coordination with the “No Check-In” widget. For example, if you're seeing "0" in the “No Check-In” widget, then you should expect all devices to be receiving updates as intended (usually once per hour). If you were to make some changes in the system, you would see the “Devices Pending Updates” reflect that number of devices. You could then return to the widget later to make sure that the updates made it to the devices. If you are seeing something other than "0" in the “No Check-In” widget, then you can investigate that before expecting any pending updates to take effect.

Unsecured Tenants

Shows the number of tenants that do not have any security settings enabled. More specifically, the widget is showing a count of all the tenants in your account (or that branch of the hierarchy) that do not have Whitelist IP feature enabled and also do not have Provisioning Credentials enabled.

This widget is associated with reporting. When you click on the number, you are routed to the detailed report for unsecured tenants.

Unsecured Tenants

In addition to the widget found on the Overview page, there is an associated report that lists all of the tenants that do not have one or the other security feature enabled (Whitelisted IPs or Provisioning Credentials). As a reminder, the counter is only counting tenants that do not have any additional security settings enabled. However, the list includes all tenants that only have one feature enabled.

From the list, you can easily select any tenant name to navigate to that tenant and make any adjustments, such as adding security settings.
