Unable to Access Polycom Device Web Portal
Problem
I am unable to access the Polycom Web Portal when attempting to provision Polycom VVX 500 devices.
Solution
By default, your Polycom VVX 500 device is set to enable HTTPS only for the Web interface. To enable both HTTP and HTTPS:
Select the Menu key.
Select Settings → Advanced.
You will be prompted to enter as password. The default password is 456.
Select Administration Settings → Web Server Configuration.
This next menu will give you the following options:
Web Server: Allows you to enable or disable the Web Server for this device. You will need to enable the Web Server to edit the Web Config Mode.
Web Config Mode: Allows you to enable only HTTP, enable only HTTPS, or enable both HTTP and HTTP.
Select Web Config Mode:
Select the HTTP/HTTPS to enable both.
If Web Server is disabled, this selection will be not be selectable. You will need to enable the Web Server to continue.
This solution is focused on an issue with the Polycom VVX 500. Additional issues involving the Web Portal with other models may require further steps.
