Set up shared lines to enable users to make calls to one phone number that can be answered by multiple phones.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fle8QNdLuyQ

With shared lines, calls made to one phone number can be answered by multiple phones. A phone registers a SIP line using a single credential set that is shared across multiple devices or a unique set of credentials per device. The shared appearance and call routing is handled by the SIP server.

Configuring a shared line consists of two parts:

  1. Configure your voice server with SIP credentials that are configured as a shared line.

  2. Configure the device with SIP credentials with shared line support.

Note: Not all devices or SIP servers support Shared Lines (also known as Shared Call Appearance or Shared Line Appearance). Refer to your device manufacturer and voice service documentation.

CONFIGURE YOUR VOICE SERVER

Configure SIP accounts

Once you have your SIP account credentials configured, follow these steps:

  1. Select the VoIP Credentials tab.

  2. Click Add.

  3. Select your desired Tenant.

  4. Enter the VoIP UsernamePassword, and Alias.

Note: These credentials are used later to configure your device(s).

  1. Click Continue.
