Add contacts to a tenant and then to a device.
On the Contacts page you can add contacts to a phone endpoint. Contacts can be edited on a per-tenant basis as well as inherited from a tenant level hierarchy.
The contacts feature is brand agnostic, so you can upload your contacts in any format, and we will serve the correct file for your specific endpoint. Upgrade to a different brand or manage multiple brands of devices with ease.
ADD A SINGLE CONTACT
To add a contact to all devices in a tenant, follow these steps:
Select the Contacts tab.
Select Add.
Enter the First and Last Name of the contact.
Enter the Phone Number.
Click Continue to save.
ADD CONTACT IN BULK
To multiple contacts (in bulk) to all devices in a tenant, follow these steps:
Select the Contacts tab.
Select Upload Contacts.
Choose the Directory type from the drop-down menu.
Select Choose File and find the CSV or XML file you’d like to import.
Click Continue to save.
Format for CSV file:
firstname, lastname, phone_number,
john, doe, 1234567890,
jane, doe, 9876543210,
bob, smith, 2345678901,
ADD ALL TENANT CONTACTS TO A DEVICE
To add all of the tenants’ contacts to a device, follow these steps:
Select the Phones tab.
Select Custom Contacts.
Ensure Include Tenant Contacts is toggled ON.
Click Save.
Note: Any additional contacts added here will be specific to that device only, and additional to any contacts inherited from the tenant level.
