Set up a tenant

Create a tenant before you can begin deploying and managing phones.

Tenants are a segment of the business. They can be a site, location, line of business, etc. You can customize this based on your or your customer’s needs to best organize the phones and services. 

When you log in to Phonism for the first time, one tenant is already set up in your account.  Our current customers typically use this for their internal office or as a practice tenant.

Note: This guide explains how to add a tenant for “non-hierarchy“ accounts. For “hierarchy“ accounts, see the Phonism hierarchy guide.

Add a new tenant

  1. From the dashboard, select the Tenants tab.

  2. Click Add.

  3. Enter the following information:

  • General Information- Enter the tenant name, address, and contact information.

  • Provisioning Credentials - Enter this information for extra device security. This requires every device under this tenant to log in with these credentials before receiving configuration.

  • Brand Specific Security Settings - Allows you to select the provisioning/management protocol for each brand within this tenant. For more information about these settings, see the Brand-specific security settings guide.

  1. When finished, click Save.

You now have a tenant you can start adding phones to!
